We can typically start within 48 hours of your first call, and in urgent situations we've placed caregivers the same day. If you know a discharge is coming, call us before it happens. That gives us time to do a proper match rather than rushing, and your parent comes home to someone who's already prepared rather than a stranger who learned about them an hour earlier.
Medicare does not cover companion care. Traditional health insurance doesn't cover it either, because it's non-medical. Long-term care insurance policies sometimes include coverage for companion or custodial care services, so it's worth checking your policy carefully. We're a private-pay agency, which means families pay directly, and we're upfront about costs from the first conversation.
