Our Story
Private Duty Aides was founded with one conviction: Connecticut families deserve home care that operates with the same standard of care a nurse would demand for their own loved ones.
After years working in clinical settings, our founder saw a recurring problem: families were being handed discharge papers and left to figure out non-medical home care on their own. The agencies they found were either impersonal staffing operations or simply unavailable when it mattered most.
Private Duty Aides was the answer to that gap. A boutique, nurse-founded agency built on relationships — not rosters. Where every caregiver is personally vetted, every family is personally known, and care doesn't start until the match is right.
We serve Connecticut's private-pay families exclusively. That means no insurance bottlenecks, no bureaucracy, and no compromises on who walks through your loved one's door.
Leadership
With over a decade of clinical experience, our founder built Private Duty Aides from the ground up — personally training every caregiver and establishing the clinical standards that set us apart from every franchise operation in Connecticut.
When you call us, you're talking to someone who has walked hospital floors, read discharge paperwork, and knows exactly what your family needs in the days and weeks ahead.
Every decision is informed by clinical thinking — even though our services are non-medical. We know what matters and what to watch for.
We don't send whoever's available. We match deliberately and stand behind every caregiver we place.
We serve families, not institutions. Communication, trust, and accessibility are non-negotiable.
We deliberately stay small enough to know every client by name and respond the same day — every time.
No pressure, no obligation. Just a conversation about how we can help.
